Match Report Press Report

Fair Oak Vets 1 Lost to Winchester Vets 1 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 36 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with David Brierley winning through.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 68 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Phil Ashman.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Phil Ashman, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Phil Ashman, who over-turned a 162 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
