Match Report Press Report

S/Ton University 3 Lost to Totton 4.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 14 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Tom Sanderson, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 81 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Alex Plimmer.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Stuart Cox, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Stuart Cox, who over-turned a 458 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
